Florence, SC – Southern Wesleyan took down the Francis Marion Patriots on the road on Monday evening in a 106-102 final score.
The Warriors shot 52.5% from the field and were 50% from beyond the arc against the Patriots. Jaquay Randolph put up 33 points including shooting 3 for 3 from beyond the arc. Three other Warriors joined him in the double-digit category. Josh Parker recorded 27 points and Will Little had 25. Malachi Cooper was the final Warrior in double digits as he had 12 points in the game. Of the 19 assists in the game, Josh Parker had eight.
Southern Wesleyan pulled down 38 total rebounds. Jaquay Randolph led the team as he accumulated 19 boards. He went on to have two of the four blocks in the game. The other blocks came off the hands of Valdy Zephir and Jamarras McCray. The Warriors stole the ball away from the Patriots six times.

How It Happened
Francis Marion took the first points of the game as Cole Deptula knocked down a three pointer early on. The Patriots extended their lead to seven after Jaiden Cancela and Patrick Antonelli got up shots. The Warriors were finally able to get on the board as Jaquay Randolph put up a mid-range shot. Randolph knocked down his first three pointer of the game to keep the Warriors within four with just under seventeen left on the clock. Malachi Cooper got around the defense and laid the ball up into the basket. Southern Wesleyan would not back down as another three pointer out of the hands of Randolph allowed the Warriors to take their first lead of the game. Will Little stepped beyond the arc and hit a three pointer. Francis Marion answered as a basket by Faried SaintCyr Jr put Francis Marion within four points of the Warriors. Randolph continued to be an offensive weapon for the Warriors as he put up his third three pointer of the game. However, SaintCyr answered with a three pointer of his owns to keep the Patriots within striking distance. A series of baskets by Jevon Brown allowed Francis Marion to keep the game close. Southern Wesleyan would not back down as Josh Parker collected an offensive rebound and put the ball right back up into the basket. The Warriors led the Patriots 42-35 going into the locker room.
Southern Wesleyan charged out of the gate in the second half as Jaquay Randolph passed the ball out beyond the arc to Malachi Cooper. Cooper fired off a three pointer to extend the Warriors lead to seven. Adonis Cole and Patrick Antonelli got up a couple layups to cut into the Warriors lead. Valdy Zephir got the ball out beyond the arc to Josh Parker. Parker knocked down a three pointer. Jaquay Randolph collected a rebound and quickly went up to lay the ball into the basket. Jaiden Cancela got up a couple shots, but Will Little answered as he drove to the basket and laid the ball up to extend the Warriors lead to twelve. Jevon Brown put up another three pointer for the Patriots. Josh Parker brought the ball down the court and passed it over to Malachi Cooper who drove through the side of the paint to lay the ball up into the basket. Brown continued to challenge the Warriors defense as he put up his fifth three pointer of the game. However, Jamarras McCray laid the ball up to keep the Warriors ahead by eight with just under ten minutes left on the clock. Will Little put up a three pointer, but the Patriots answered with a couple more three pointers by Brown. Farid SaintCyr Jr drove to the basket and laid the ball up. With just over three minutes left in the half, Josh Parker put up another three pointer. Brown continued to attack the basket with another three pointer. Parker passed the ball over to Jamarras McCray. McCray slammed the ball into the basket. Jevon Brown and Patrick Antonelli got up a couple more tree pointers, but the Warriors took the game in a 106-102 final score.
