How It Happened

Barton took the early lead as they brought their first fun of the game in to score in the top of the first inning.

The Bulldogs would not relent as they scored more runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to extend their lead to 12-0.

The Warriors fought back in the bottom of the eighth inning.  Josh Long led off the inning by hitting a double to left field.  Long went on to advance to third on a passed ball.  With Long ninety feet from home plate, an error by the second baseman allowed Gage Shaver to take first base and brought Long in to score the Warriors first run of the game.  Caide Linker followed by hitting a single to left field and then a walk to Jason Culley loaded up the bases for Marty Grisso.  Grisso flew out to right field to bring Shaver in to score.  Jarrett Whitley hit a single to left center field to bring Linker in to score.  The Warriors were not done as with two outs, Gavin Mitchell hit a single to left center field to bring Culley across home plate.  However, the Warriors fell to the Bulldogs in a 12-4 final.
