How It Happened

Francis Marion brought the first runs of the game in to score in the bottom of the first inning as both Petersen and Bussey came across home plate.

Southern Wesleyan answered in the top of the second.  Griffin Pickhardt led off the inning by hitting a double down the left field line.  Pickhardt advanced to third as Nolan Evatt laid down a sacrifice bunt.  With Pickhardt ninety feet from home, Zach Kim flew out to right field to allow Pickhardt to come home and put Southern Wesleyan within one run of the Patriots.

The Patriots went on the attack again as several singles allowed them to bring five more runs in to score in the seventh.  They struck again in the eighth inning to win the game in a 22-1 final score.
