How It Happened

The Warriors were first on the board as Bobby Taylor won the opening jump ball and quickly got the ball into the net.  The Trailblazers answered with a layup by Savion Brown.  Layups by Valdy Zephir and Will Little allowed the Warriors to regain the lead.  North Greenville pressed on as Brown knocked down a three pointer.  Malachi Cooper pulled down a rebound and went coast-to-coast to put up a layup to put Southern Wesleyan back within three.  With just over eight minutes left in the first half, Nathanael Lewis got up and hit a three pointer.  However, the Trailblazers answered with a couple three pointers out of the hands of Kaleb Thurman. Cooper was able to steal the ball away from the Trailblazers and sent it down the court to Will Little.  Little got up and slammed the ball into the basket for a dunk.  A last second three pointer by Logan Parker allowed North Greenville to take a 39-25 point lead going into the locker room.

North Greenville jumped started the second half with a layup by Jacob Brown.  Seconds later, the Warriors answered as Bobby Taylor got the ball out to Will Little.  Little knocked down a three pointer.  Josh Linder and Taylor each got up shots for their respective teams.  The Trailblazers pressed on as Prince Jones-Bynum got up several shots.  With just over fifteen left in the half, Little went up and hit another three pointer.  However, Jones-Bynum answered with a three pointer of his own seconds later to keep North Greenville on top.  A jump shot by Valdy Zephir kick started an eleven point run for the Warriors.  Jaquay Randolph laid the ball up into the basket to cut the Trailblazers lead down to five, but it was short lived as Jacob Brown hit another three pointer seconds later.  With just under two minutes on the clock, David Witcher stole the ball right out of the hands of Savion Brown and laid the ball up into the basket.  Despite a final second three pointer by Will Little, the Warriors fell to the Trailblazers in an 82-72 final score.
