How It Happened

The Saints took the lead early as a double by Barnette and a sacrifice fly by Love allowed two runs to come in to score.

Southern Wesleyan countered in the fourth inning.  Christopher Hund led off the inning by reaching first after being hit by a pitch.  Cam Mitchem hit a single to left field and then Marty Grisso reach on a bunt single to load up the bases.  With two outs and the bases loaded, Clay Porter hit the ball to shortstop.  However, an error on the play allowed both Hund and Mitchem to come in to score to tie the game up 2-2.

Limestone regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.  They pushed on with runs in the seventh and eighth innings to win the game in a 6-2 final score.
