Coach Meneses says…

"I feel that it was good start to our season.  We played a well coached Felician team and we could have come up with the victory.  With several players missing due to slight injuries, we feel ready as we enter into conference play this coming weekend.  Thank you everyone who came out to support us and for all the help we had from team parents on our after game festivities!  It was a great day!"

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan came out strong as Abigail Aman and Kira Brown each took shots, but Alexis Lambertino and the Golden Falcon's defense kept the balls out of the net.  The Warriors continued to persist as ten minutes into the half, Aman sent the ball over to Bella Hanzel who tapped it into the net to put the Warriors on top 1-0.  The Warriors continued to pressure the ball as Madelyn Graf and Presleigh Bayot each sent the ball toward the net, but once again Lambertino saved the attacks.

Felician upped the intensity in the second half as Bianca Revenga and Kailey Rappel each took shots on the goal.  However, Katelyn O'Neill stood strong on the back line to keep the ball out.  The Golden Falcons' attacks prevailed as Carlie Koziol put the ball into the back of the net to tie the game up.  Southern Wesleyan countered with shots by MJ Grant and Kira Brown, but Lambertino would not allow the Warriors to take the lead.  The game finished in a 1-1 tie.
