Young Harris, GA – Southern Wesleyan fell in non-conference action to the Young Harris Mountain Lions in an 11-1 final score.
The Warriors picked up three hits off the bats of
Noah Wiggins,
Travis Hammond and
Dawson Gilstrap in the loss to the Mountain Lions.
Josh Long had the lone RBI. The Warriors walked three times with Long walking twice.
Jackson Turner started the game on the mound and pitched one inning. He was followed in relief by six pitchers. Both
Josiah Sizemore and
Aidan Evans struck out batters.

How It Happened
The Mountain Lions struck first as they plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning off a double by Wallace. Young Harris plated runs in the bottom of the third, fourth and fifth innings to extend their lead.
Southern Wesleyan put up their lone run of the game in the top of the sixth inning.
Noah Wiggins led of the sixth inning with a single up the middle and then advanced to second on a single by
Travis Hammond. With two out,
Patrick Walker was hit by a pitch to load up the bases.
Josh Long followed with a walk to bring Wiggins in to put the Warriors down 8-1.
Young Harris went on to win the game in an 11-1 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will remain on the road on March 31-April 1 as they travel to Florence, SC to take on the Francis Marion Patriots. They will then travel to Gaffney, SC to take on the Limestone Saints on April 5 at 6 p.m. The Warriors will travel to Wilson, NC on April 7-8 to take on the Barton Bulldogs. Southern Wesleyan will return home to host the Anderson Trojans on Dr. C Keith Connor Field on April 11 at 6 p.m.
