Bristol, TN – Southern Wesleyan fell to the King Tornado in the final regular season game of the 2022-23 season in a 96-86 final score.
The Warriors shot 51.5% from the field in the loss and went 36.4% from beyond the arc.
Tyrin Hollis led the team with 25 points. He was followed by
Jamal Edmonson with 20 points and
Raevon Allen with 10. The Warriors posted 12 assists with Allen leading the team with five. He was followed by Hollis with three.

How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan struck quickly as
Raevon Allen put up a shot from beyond the arc. However, the Tornado countered with a pull up good jump shot on a basket by Brandon Lamberth.
Dyren Brown laid the ball up into the basket to put the Warriors ahead 5-2. Southern Wesleyan continued to extend their lead on layups by
Jamal Edmonson and
Tyrin Hollis. Michael Mays stepped beyond the arc for a three pointer to put the Tornado back within three points of the Warriors. Edmonson stepped beyond the arc for a three pointer. Mays laid the ball back up for the Tornado.
Griffin Effenberger passed the ball under the net to Edmonson who laid it up into the basket.
Tyrin Hollis stepped beyond the arc to hit a three pointer. Southern Wesleyan took a ten point lead on a three pointer by Effenberger. However, a pull up jump shot by Darron Howard kept the Tornado within eight. Hollis drove the ball to the basket for a layup. The Warriors continued to push with layups by

Marcus Long. With just over eight minutes left on the clock,
