Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan posted a 26-point comeback as they defeated the Lees-McRae Bobcats in a 71-69 final score on Wednesday evening.
The Warriors shot 45.5% from the field and were 27.3% from beyond the arc.
Brittany Mack led the team with 25 points. She was joined by three other Warriors in double digits.
Shelby Glance posted 12 points,
Allie Newberry had 11 and
Tristen Berry put up 10. Southern Wesleyan had 14 assists with Mack leading the team with four.
Southern Wesleyan pulled down 32 rebounds in the victory.
Shelby Glance led the team with 11 to give her a double-double. Glance went on to pick up two blocks. The Warriors stole the ball 15 times.
Brittany Mack led the team with seven steals.

How It Happened
The Bobcats attacked the net quickly as they hit back-to-back three point shots by Dianna Spence and Sandra Mason.
Tristen Berry laid the ball up into the basket to put the Warriors on the board with just under eight minutes left in the first quarter. Logan Dutka stole the ball and quickly laid it up into the basket to extend Lees-McRae's lead to nine points. However, the Warriors fought back as
Caroline Reese stepped beyond the arc and hit a three pointer.
Allie Newberry laid the ball up to put the Warriors within three.
Lees-McRae continued their attacks in the second quarter as Sandra Mason stepped beyond the arc and hit a three point shot. Three pointers by Mason and Jala Holloman extended their lead to nine points.
Shelby Glance collected a pass by
Tristen Berry and put up her first three pointer of the night. However, the Bobcats continued their pressure with layups by Logan Dutka. Dianna Spence laid the ball up to extend Lees-McRae's lead to 39-19 at halftime.
The Bobcats hit back-to-back three point shots by Logan Dutka and Jala Holloman to give them a twenty-six point lead to start the third quarter. The Warriors began to chip away at their lead on a layup by
Lexi Greffen. A layup by
Allie Newberry allowed the Warriors to cut the Bobcats lead down to nineteen points. Holloman hit another three pointer.
Shelby Glance stepped beyond the arc and collected a pass from
Caroline Reese before sinking it into the net.
Brittany Mack stole the ball away from the Bobcats and raced down the court and laid the ball up into the basket. Southern Wesleyan continued to cut into Lees-McRae's lead as Mack stole the ball again and passed it under the basket to
Tristen Berry who put up a layup to put the Warriors back within ten points.
Lees-McRae countered in the final quarter as Sandra Mason laid the ball up into the basket. However, baskets by
Brittany Mack and
Shelby Glance kept the Warriors within nine points. Mack stepped beyond the arc and hit a three pointer to put Southern Wesleyan down 61-55 to Lees-McRae.
Caroline Reese stepped beyond the arc and hit a three pointer. The Warriors attacks paid off as a three point shot out of the hands of
Tristen Berry put the Warriors ahead 63-61 for the first time in the game. The Bobcats tied the game back up on a layup by Sandra Mason. However, back-to-back layups by
Shelby Glance and
Brittany Mack allowed the Warriors to take a four point lead. Lees-McRae tied the game up at sixty-nine points a piece with just over a minute left on the clock.
Tristen Berry stole the ball away from the Bobcats and raced down the court on a fast break before laying it up to give the Warriors a 71-69 point victory over the Bobcats.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will remain at home on February 18 as they host the Barton Bulldogs at 2 p.m. They will wrap up the regular season on the road as they travel to Bristol, TN to take on the Tornado of King University.
