The Warriors picked up 24 kills in the loss to the Trojans. Michaela Andress led the team with seven kills, with both Emily Ellis and Emma Ronaldson following with four. Of the 22 assists, Hannah Wilson had 11 and Amiyah Spann had 10. Andress had the lone ace. Southern Wesleyan had three blocks with Gracie Wilson being involved in all three. Andress recorded 14 of the 58 digs.

Set One
Southern Wesleyan started strong as Gracie Wilson and Emily Ellis blocked the attack by Callie Mullins. The lead was short lived as the University of Mount Olive took the lead on a kill by Kaitlyn Landis. Michaela Andress and Ellie Moore put down kills to keep the Warriors within four points. The Trojans continued their attacks as Ashlyn Stone and Karoline Cox each put down aces. Mount Olive went on to claim the first set in a 25-15 final.
Set Two
The Warriors claimed the first point of the second set on a kill by Gracie Wilson. Mount Olive thwarted Wilson's next two sets of attacks to allow the Trojans to take the lead. A kill by Michaela Andress allowed Southern Wesleyan to remain within one point of the Trojans. The Warriors pushed on as a kill by Gracie Wilson kept them within one of the Trojans. Mount Olive extended their lead on kills by Ashlyn Stone and Kate Carter. Despite kills by Andress, Emily Ellis, Trinity Eichman and Gavrielle Elswick, Southern Wesleyan fell to Mount Olive in the second set in a 25-18 final.

Mount Olive struck first in the third set on a kill by Karoline Cox. A kill by Michaela Andress allowed the Warriors to take the lead. The Trojans tied the set up on a kill by Ashlyn Stone. Kills by Emily Ellis kept the Warriors within two points. Mount Olive extended the lead on an ace by Cox. The Warriors continued to challenge with kills by Emma Ronaldson. However, the Trojans pushed on to win the final set in a 25-14 final.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will remain at home on October 14 as they host the King Tornado at 2 pm. They will then host the North Greenville Crusaders on October 18 at 7pm. The Warriors will host the Erskine Flying Fleet on October 20.
