How It Happened
In the doubles, Sarvesh Maria and Enzo Marcheschi won their match against Alex Sodre and Mat Vieira in a 6-3 final. Julio Lopes Polesi and Cole Farren crushed their match in 6-0 final against Miodrag Popovic and Mason Hunt. Parker Willis and Fabian Segreda played a competitive match against Rhys Halcrow and Andre Schiabel, but fell short loosing 6-4.
In the singles play against the Tornado, Parker Willis, Enzo Marcheschi, Cole Farren took points for the Warriors. Parker Willis won his first set in 7-6 and his final in 6-3. Enzo Marcheschi won in a final of 6-2 and 6-1 as he competed against Miodrag Popovic. Cole Farren won his singles match 6-2 in the first round and 6-2 in the second as well to clinch the victory for the Warriors. Fabian Segreda played a very tough match against Mat Vieira. Segreda fell short in his first set 2-6. However, in the second set he won 6-3, forcing a third to be played where he lost 5-7. Sarvesh Maria and Julio Lopes Polesi played hard for the Warriors, however they fell short and lost their matches.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will remain at home on March 29th to host the Johnson C Smith Golden Bulls at 3 p.m. The Warriors will then travel to Spartanburg, SC to take on the Converse University Valkyries on April 1st at 1:00.
