Kotsiou Picks Up Lone Victory as Warriors Drop Match to Mountain Lions

Central, SC – The Warriors fell to the Young Harris Mountain Lions on Saturday evening in a 6-1 final score.

How It Happened
 
Southern Wesleyan dropped the doubles sets on Saturday afternoon.  Anya King and Maria Aspasia Kotsiou challenged in their set, but fell to Zoe Freke and Meghana Mallath in a 6-4 final.  Natalie White and Ashley Dube challenged in their match-up, but they fell in a 5-4 final.  White and Dube's match was left unfinished due to the team needing to transition to singles play.
 
In singles action, Maria Aspasia Kotsiou challenged in the third set.  Kotsiou defeated Joselyne Chapui in her first set 3-6, but then fell in the second set 6-3.  In the final set, Maria Aspasia Kotsiou defeated Chapui in a 10-7 final.
 
 
 
 
What's Next
 
The Warriors will remain at home on March 2 as they host the Lander Bearcats at 2:00 p.m.  They will then host the Georgia College Bobcats at 2:00 on March 4.  Southern Wesleyan will then travel to Franklin Springs, GA to take on the Emmanuel Lions at 3:00 p.m.
