How It Happened
Belmont Abbey swept the doubles action. The teams of
Sarvesh Maria and
Enzo Marcheschi, and
Peter Kovats and
Jonas Grasmuck both dropped their matches in 2-6 finals.
In singles play,
Jonas Grasmuck claimed the first victory for the Warriors as he played in the No. 2 position. Grasmuck won his match against Stofford in 7-6 (3) and 6-4 scores. He was joined in the win column by
Sarvesh Maria. In the No 3. Position, Maria defeated Shiell in 6-3 and 6-3 finals.
What's Next
The Warriors will return to the Rev Leroy C Cox Tennis Complex on March 26 and 27 as they host the Chowan Hawks and Barton Bulldogs. They will then welcome the Emmanuel Lions to Central, SC on March 30. Southern Wesleyan will then travel to Tigerville, SC to take on the North Greenville Crusaders on April 13 at 3 p.m.
