Southern Wesleyan kicked off the afternoon in doubles action.
Peter Kovats and
Jonas Grasmuck defeated the team of Chris Bale and Silas Sandles 6-1. They were followed with doubles victories by
Fabian Segreda and
Joseph Olatunji (6-1) and
Sarvesh Maria and
Dylan Johns (6-3) to allow the Warriors to win the doubles point.
In singles play,
Peter Kovats played in the first spot for the Warriors, defeating Houston Medlock 6-1 and 6-0.
Jonas Grasmuck and
Sarvesh Maria each picked up 6-0 and 6-1 victories in their singles duals. Senior
Joseph Olatunji defeated Chase Morris with a pair of 6-2 victories.
Fabian Segreda claimed the final victory for the Warriors in singles play as he defeated Silas Sandles 6-2 and 6-1.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Milledgeville, GA as they take on the Georgia College Bobcats on February 12 at 2 p.m. They will remain on the road on February 18 as they take on the Limestone College Saints at 2 p.m. The Warriors will then return to the Rev. Leroy C Cox Tennis Complex on February 25 (Montreat Cavaliers) and February 27 (Young Harris Mountain Lions).
