Southern Wesleyan took four of the singles match-ups of the afternoon.
Ameek Batth defeated Jing Dong 6-3 and 6-1. Batth was joined by victories for
Anya King and
Noemi Aguirre. King defeated Rilee Marler 6-1 and 6-0, and Aguirre took down her opponent in a 6-2 and 6-4 final.
Natalie White also picked up a victory as her competitor retired during the match.
While the Warriors took four of the six singles match-ups, Southern Wesleyan dropped two of the three doubles match-up.
Ameek Batth and
Anya King defeated the team of Juli Boeer and Rilee Marler for the Warriors one doubles match victory of the afternoon in a 6-3 final.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Milledgeville, GA as they take on the Georgia College Bobcats on March 3. They will then return to Central, SC to take on the Erskine Flying Fleet for their first Conference Carolinas match of the season on March 6. They ill then host the Anderson Trojans on March 11.
