Spartanburg, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell in exhibition play to the Wofford Terriers in a 106-55 final on Friday evening.
The Warriors shot 31.8% from the field in the loss to the Terriers.
Shelby Glance led the Warriors with 11 points.
Brittany Mack recorded six of the 10 assists of the afternoon. Mack went on to lead the team in steals. Southern Wesleyan collected 28 rebounds with
Kayla Garrett leading the team with six.
Allie Newberry had the lone block of the evening.

How It Happened
The Terriers took the first points of the game as Alexis Tomlin put up a layup. They extended their lead to 4-0 minutes later, before
Nakia Hooks drove to the net to lay the ball up and make the score 4-2. Wofford continued to push ahead, but baskets by Hooks and
Lonesha Lee put Southern Wesleyan down 6-14. The Terriers continued to distance themselves, leading 32-11 at the end of the first quarter.
Lawren Cook kicked off the second quarter for the Terriers with a layup off a pass from Sydnee Richetto to give Wofford a 34-11 point advantage over Southern Wesleyan. The Warriors fought back as
Sasha Schoenborn and
Shelby Glance sunk back-to-back three pointers to put Southern Wesleyan within 19-points. The Terriers pushed further ahead before a driving layup by
Brooke Henricks made the score 51-25. Late three pointers by
Keyara Wooden put the Warriors down 31-56 at halftime.
Southern Wesleyan took the first points of the third quarter.
Brittany Mack passed the ball over to
Lonesha Lee who suck a ball into the net from beyond the arc to put the Warriors behind the Terriers 34-56. The Warriors continued to fight as
Nakia Hooks drove the ball to the net to lay it up. Wofford countered with a layup off the hands of Abbey Crawford to give them a 58-36 point lead with just over seven minutes left. Wofford pushed further ahead as Jackie Carman and Lilly Hatton each made three point shots. Mack drove to the net to score a layup, but the Terriers still led 79-43 at the end of the third quarter.
Wofford took the first points of the final quarter off a three pointer by Sydnee Richetto. Southern Wesleyan countered as
Brittany Mack got the ball to
Brooke Henricks who scored from above the arc to make the score 84-46. The Terriers pushed further ahead, taking a 101-50 point lead on a three pointer by Richetto. Despite back-to-back baskets by
Shelby Glance, the Warriors fell to the Terriers in a 106-55 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will return to Central, SC on November 23 as they welcome the Belmont Abbey Crusaders to Historic Tysinger Gymnasium for their conference opener. They will then travel to Tigerville, SC on November 30 to take on the North Greenville Crusaders. The Warriors will remain on the road on December 3 as they travel to Spartanburg, SC to take on the Converse Valkyries at 5:30 p.m.
