The Warriors collected 26 kills with
Amber Bass leading the team with 11. Bass was closely followed by
Ashlyn Holford with 10 kills.

How It Happened
Set One
The Lions took the first point on a kill by Taylor Roberts, but the Warriors countered as
Ashlyn Holford laid down a kill to tie it up. Emmanuel would not let up, regaining the lead seconds later on kills by Roberts and Aleksandra Hamuda. Southern Wesleyan persisted though as
Amber Bass collected her first kill of the match, and both Holford and
Ashley Sexton blocked the Lions attacks to keep the Warriors within striking distance. The Warriors countered the Lions every attack with more kills by Bass, Holford and
Tiyonnah Brown. Trailing by four, Bass put down a kill to make the score 16-19. However, the Lions went on to win the first set 25-17.
Set Two
Emmanuel kicked off the second set with kills by Taylor Roberts and Alaina Emminger. The Warriors countered with kills by
Ashlyn Holford and
Amber Bass to come to 4-10 behind the Lions. Southern Wesleyan continued to chip away at Emmanuel's lead with kills by Holford and Bass. The Lions increased their attacks with kills by Emily Hanson and Aleksandra Hamuda to extend their lead to 22-12. The Lions went on to take the second set 25-13.
Set Three
Southern Wesleyan kicked off the third set with a kill by
Amber Bass to put the Warriors ahead 1-0. However, Emmanuel countered with blocks by Taylor Roberts and Mia Cotton to allow the Lions to tie it up. Back-to-back aces by
Jesse Soles allowed the Warriors to extend their lead to 4-1.
Amber Bass delivered kills to push the Warriors lead to 6-1. Emmanuel countered with an ace by Gabrielle McGlamery, but a kill by
Tiyonnah Brown kept the Warriors on top. A kill by Jocelyn Martin put the Lions within two of the Warriors. The Lions pressed forward to take the lead, but a kill by
Riley Young and an assisted block by Bass and Young put the Warriors back on top 15-14. Blocks by Bass and Young allowed the Warriors to extend their lead to 20-15. The Lions countered to take a 25-24 point advantage, but blocks by
Ashlyn Holford and
Trinity Eichman tied the third set up at twenty-five points apiece. The two teams battled it out before blocks by Roberts and Cotton allowed the Lions to win the final set 29-27.
