The Warriors shot 53.4% from the field and went 63.6% from the free throw line in the victory over the Flying Fleet. Five Warriors posted double digits during the game. Emily Waters and Tanayja Williams led the team with 18 points each. They were followed by Denisha Hall and Lisana Burnett with 17 points each and Aneysa Williams with 11 points. Burnett recorded seven of the 22 assists during the game.
Southern Wesleyan posted 34 rebounds. Lisana Burnett recorded 11 rebounds to give her a double-double during the game. Burnett lead the team with four of the nine steals. Emily Waters had the lone block during the game.

"Great seeing us have a team win tonight and to have the five seniors contribute like they did. We started the second half slow, which was disappointing to see. I felt defensively we were a step behind on our close-outs and rotations, but our defense is what picked us back up."
How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan stormed out of the gate as Denisha Hall made a jump shot to put the Warriors ahead 2-0. The Warriors continued to push ahead as Aneysa Williams made a layup and Hall made free throws to give Southern Wesleyan a 6-0 point advantage. The Flying Fleet countered, but a 3-point basket by Hall kept them at a 9-2 lead. Baskets by Brooke Henricks, Lisana Burnett and Emily Waters allowed to Warriors to take a ten point lead over the Flying Fleet.
Erskine cut Southern Wesleyan's lead to six on layups by Madison Whitt and Zyria Gay. However, Southern Wesleyan countered with baskets by Lisana Burnett and Emily Waters to keep the Warriors at a 10-point lead and make the score 14-24. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Lisana Burnett and Aneysa Williams allowed the Warriors to take 32-19 point lead. The Warriors continued to push ahead, leading 41-34 at the half.
Southern Wesleyan continued to lengthen their lead in the third quarter as Denisha Hall made a layup and Tanayja Williams sunk a three pointer to put the Warriors ahead 46-36. Erskine countered, but layups by Emily Waters kept the Warriors ahead by ten. Baskets by Zyria Gay allowed the Flying Fleet to chip away at the Warriors lead, but the Warriors would not let them pass as Williams made a 3-pointer.
The Flying Fleet continued to challenge in the final quarter as Cheyenne Matson put up a 3-pointer to cut the Warriors lead to 62-57. However, the Warriors regained their ten point lead on a layup by Denisha Hall and a 3-pointer by Brooke Henricks. A jump shot by Alexis Scott put the Flying Fleet within four, but a layup by Henricks kept the Warriors on top. The Warriors stayed strong with layups by Aneysa Williams and Denisha Hall to give them a 77-69 point lead. The Warriors went on to win 90-80.
