CENTRAL, S.C.- Southern Wesleyan shot 30.2 percent from the field in its 98-73 loss to Emmanuel.

Kristen Smith scored 13 points and pulled in three rebounds. Chelsie Waters scored 11 points and had one assist. Brooke Strickland scored eight points.

The score was tied 23-23 at the end of the first quarter, but the Lions (15-6, 11-4 CC) outscored the Warriors (4-17, 1-14 CC) by 12 in the second quarter. Emmanuel closed out the game with a 48-35 run to seal the victory.

The Warriors next travel to Erskine Feb. 9 for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
