Southern Wesleyan and Converse fought back-and-forth throughout the third set, one team taking the lead and then the other gaining ground.  The Valkyries pulled ahead 17-14, but the Warriors countered and brought the set back to a 24-24 tie.  Converse rose above to take the third set 26-24.

With the Warriors leading the match 2-1, the excitement in the stands was growing and Southern Wesleyan took an early lead.  SWU took their lead and ran with it, winning the final set of the evening 25-12 and taking the game in a 3-1 victory over the Valkyries.

"I was proud of the effort tonight!" said Head Volleyball Coach Julia Reininga.  "Everyone played aggressive and worked hard!"
