Box Score CENTRAL, S.C.‑ Three players scored in double-digits in Southern Wesleyan's 86-72 loss to King.
Darius Sharpe scored a career-high 26 points, dished out three assists, and grabbed three rebounds. Kenny Holmes scored 18 points with five assists and three rebounds. Jamaral Kearse scored 11 points, pulled in six rebounds, and had four assists.
The Tornado (10-4, 5-1 CC) put the Warriors (2-12, 1-5 CC) in a large hole early as they led by as much as 23 points in the first half. Southern Wesleyan cut the lead to 16 points with a 25-18 run to close out the first half.
Southern Wesleyan was able to cut the lead to 12 points at the 18:21 mark of the second half, but were unable to get any closer as they were outscored 35-33 the rest of the way. They shot 46.7 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from the three-point line.
The Warriors next play Lees-McRae Saturday Jan. 9 at 7:30 pm.
