Warriors Win Second Straight, Dominate Bob Jones

Box Score

CENTRAL, S.C. – After a come-from-behind win on Monday the Warriors decided to put away Bob Jones early, blowing out the Bruins by a score of 80-54.  The margin of victory is the second largest this season, just behind the 27-point margin the Warriors beat Brewton-Parker by in January.

After falling behind early on the Warriors embarked on a 16-2 run to put themselves up 11 and take control of the game.  A late three by Brooke Strickland gave the Warriors (10-13) a 14-point lead, 40-26, at halftime.  Strickland finished with a team-high 17 points, knocking down four three's in the process.

Also joining in on the fun was Briana Seda off the bench with 15 points and eight rebounds.  Kiara Coleman and Christiana Perkins chipped in with 13 and 10 points respectively.  The Warriors shot only 41 percent but more than made up for that with 23 offensive rebounds.  Bob Jones was held to just 34 percent shooting.

The Bruins turned the ball over 22 times which resulted in 25 points for the Warriors and largely contributed to 16 fast break points for the Warriors.  Bob Jones managed just nine points off of 12 SWU turnovers and only four fast break points.

The Warriors will jump back into SSAC play on Thursday, hosting Coastal Georgia on Thursday.  The Mariners are receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 poll.
