COLUMBIA, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan volleyball defeated Columbia College (S.C.) on Wednesday night 3-0 to take both matches on the season.

The Warriors hit .316 for the match including a robust .429 in the second set.  Cherilyn Ramsey led the way with 15 kills on 21 attacks, good for a .667 attack percentage.  Hayley Hoover added nine kills and Courtney Williams and Jacinta Hoffpauir added seven each.  Hoffpauir had no errors and hit .412 for the match.

Hoover added 14 digs and three service aces.  She came into the match 12th in the NAIA in service aces this season.  Kelsey Deerinwater led all players with 20 digs.  Megan Widener added 41 assists to lead all players.

The Warriors have won five straight for the third time this year and will look to match their season-high win streak at six on Friday as they host the University of Mobile in a crucial SSAC match.  SWU enters as one of two unbeaten teams (Spring Hill) and Mobile is third with a 7-1 league mark.  First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Warriors will host Spring Hill on Saturday.
