Gaffney, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the #11 Limestone Saints in a 19-0 final score on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors recorded four shots and three shots on goal during the game. Latia Santos led the Warriors with two shots and one shot on goal. Amy Pfefferkorn and Jairy Sandoval both had shots on goal. Tabitha Beecher recorded two of the three draw controls and the Warriors caused three turnovers. Kaeleigh McDaniel played the whole 60 minutes in goal for the Warriors, recording 21 saves to post a 52.5 save percentage.

How It Happened
Limestone took control of the game early as Julia Foster scored a free positon goal. Goals by Foster and Abby Hope allowed the Saints to push their lead to 4-0. Despite a shot on goal by Latia Santos and nine saves by Kaeleigh McDaniel, the Saints continued to extend their lead, taking a 10-0 lead over Southern Wesleyan. The Saints led 13-0 after the first half.
The Saints continued to push ahead, taking a 16-0 lead over the Warriors. However, the Warriors continued to defend the cage with six saves by Kaeleigh McDaniel. The Warriors continued to challenge with shots on goal by Jairy Sandoval and Amy Pfefferkorn. Limestone went on to win the game 19-0.
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Banner Elk, NC as they take on the Lees-McRae Bobcats at 4 p.m. on April 11. They will then return to Childs Field on April 13 as they host the Converse Valkyries in their final home game of the 2019 season. They will close out regular season play on April 17 as they travel to Belmont, NC to take on the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey.
