CENTRAL, S.C.‑ Southern Wesleyan shot 26.6 percent from the floor in its 55-50 loss to North Greenville.
Noelle Van Zadelhoff scored ten points, grabbed seven rebounds, and had two blocks. Aneysa Williams also scored ten points, pulled in five rebounds, and had two assists. Brooke Strickland scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds.
The Crusaders (3-10, 1-6 CC) held a one-point advantage over the Warriors (4-10, 1-7 CC) at the end of the first quarter. They stretched their lead to 11 points with 22-12 run in the second quarter.
Southern Wesleyan cut the deficit to nine points by the end of the third quarter. They tied the game at the 6:06 mark of the fourth quarter on a layup by Williams and took the lead with five minutes remaining on a free throw by Tomi Sanchez. North Greenville closed the game with an 11-5 run to seal the victory for the Crusaders.
The Warriors next travel to Emmanuel Jan. 18 for a 5:30 pm contest.
