CENTRAL, S.C.‑ Southern Wesleyan shot 29.8 percent from the floor in its 90-52 loss to King.
Aneysa Williams led the team with 11 points and six rebounds. She also dished out two assists and had two steals. Kristen Smith scored six points and pulled in three rebounds. Cayse Branyon scored six points and blocked one shot.
The Tornado (7-5, 6-0 CC) shot 55.9 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from the three-point line in the first half. The Warriors (4-8, 1-5 CC) made 75.0 percent of their free throws, but turned the ball over 13 times.
Southern Wesleyan defended better in the second half as King only shot 33.3 percent from the floor and 16.7 percent from behind the arc. They also forced ten turnovers and blocked three shots.
The Warriors next play Lees-McRae Saturday Jan. 9 at 5:30 pm.
