Anderson, SC – Southern Wesleyan's A Team claimed first place in the Anderson Invitational. The B Team finished in sixth place. Eric Shea took individual honors as he claimed first place and was named to the All-Tournament. Shea was joined on the All-Tournament team by teammate Noah Mullens.

How It Happened
The Warriors took first as a team in their first tournament of the season, with junior Eric Shea leading the A Team. Shea shot a 72 in the first round, and continued to impress as he shot a 69 in the second round to give him a 141 total round score, three under par, and put him in a tie for first place with Anderson's Reece Coleman. However, in a 1-hole sudden-death playoff on the 18th hole, Eric Shea was able to defend his reigning title and defeated Reece Coleman.
Noah Mullens was right on Eric Shea's heels. Mullens shot a 75 in the first round of play and then come out to shoot a 69 in the second round to give him a 144 total round score. His score earned him a fourth place finish and a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Behind Mullens, freshman Carter Rains finished in a tie for 7th place. Rains shot a 72 in the first round and a 75 in the second round to give him a 147 total round score.
Finishing in a tie for 20th place, Zach Huebner was the fourth in line for the Warriors' A Team. Huebner shot a 77 and a 76 to give him a 153 total round score. He was followed by teammate Thomas Nielsen. Nielsen shot a 74 and 82 to give him a total round score of 153 and allow him to finish in a tie for 27th.
The Warriors B Team finished in sixth place, with Seve Anfindsen leading the team. After shooting a 75 in the first round, Anfindsen shot a 72 in the second round to give him a total round score of 147 and put him in a tie for 7th place. Sitting in a tie for 20th place, Jackson Whitfield and Jiras Singnoi shot 153 total round scores. Both shot a 74 in the first round and a 79 in the second round of competition.
Nick Howell was the fourth Warrior in line in the B Team. Howell shot a 79 in the first round before shooting an 82 in the second round to finish with a total round score of 161 and finish in a tie for 34th. Jenkins Dwight wrapped up the field for the Warriors. Dwight shot a 98 in the first round and a 96 in the second to give him a 194 total round score and put him in 53rd.
Southern Wesleyan will then take part in the Kiawah Invitational on September 16-17. The Men's Golf team will then take part in the North Georgia Invitational on September 30 and October 1, before concluding their fall season on October 21-22 at the Miami Intercollegiate.
