How It Happened
The Warriors took two out of three in doubles action. Jennifer Ball and Elizabeth Mulkey won the first set for the Warriors, leaving the Bobcats scoreless in their 8-0 win. Aimee Dorley and Kristi Cooper won the second match for Southern Wesleyan in a final score of 8-1.
Southern Wesleyan went on to win five of the six singles match ups. Kristi Cooper took the first singles win, defeating Tittle 6-0 and 6-1. Cati Wintrich and Jennifer Ball followed Cooper to win both of their matches. Wintrich won 6-0 and 6-2, while Ball won 6-4 and 7-6(1). After the Bobcats won the fourth match up, the Warriors went on to win the final two. Aimee Dorley won her match 6-2 and 6-0, and Elizabeth Mulkey won 8-4.
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to King on March 25 to take on the Tornado at 12 pm. They will remain away on March 30 and April 1. On March 31, Southern Wesleyan will take on the Pfeiffer Falcons at 1 pm and then on April 1 they will travel to Belmont Abbey to take on the Crusaders at 2 pm.
