Coach Morrell says…

"Really proud of the team tonight, it was a gutsy team win!  They played hard and until the final whistle.  Emmanuel played really well and put a lot of pressure on us, but I am really happy with how we handled it."

How It Happened

The Emmanuel Lions took several shots, but Courtney McNeill saved the shots to prevent the Lions from leaping ahead.  Southern Wesleyan countered to strike first.  On a pass from Aline Troyano, Ashley Romanowski drove the ball into the net to give the Warriors a 1-0 point advantage.  The Lions tried to push past the Warriors, but the Warriors defense stood strong to win their first Conference Carolinas game of the season in a 1-0 final.
