Warriors Finish in Sixth Place in NCCAA Championship

Palm Coast, FL – Southern Wesleyan finished in sixth place in the NCCAA Championship after the three day tournament.

"I am very pleased with how the team performed this week on an extremely challenging golf course.  With three Freshman in the starting lineup, this was a great experience for all of them.  It's always fun to coach teams that are rapidly improving and both of these teams have gotten better every week."


How It Happened

Claire Page led the team in the final round of play to give her a sixth place finish.  Page posted a 74 in the final round, matching her school record round from the previous round.  Her 78, 74 and 74 scores gave her a total of 226.  Page was followed by Jesse Dalton.  Dalton finished in a tie for 18th after round scores of 86, 78 and 83 to give her a 247 final.

Tatiana Tait finished in a tie for 31st.  Tait scored 84, 83 and 88 to give her a 255 total during the NCCAA Championship.  She was followed by Emily Floyd in 38th place.  Floyd posted scores of 89, 87 and 84 to give her a 260 total score.  Emily Anderson finished in 39th with scores of 88, 90 and 84 with a total of 262.



Claire Page was named to the NCCAA All-American team at the conclusion of the tournament.
