"I am incredibly proud of our women's team, they missed the school record by two shots on probably the hardest course we'll play all year. Especially proud of Claire, she played an awesome round that could have been even better had a couple putts gone in. 74 was the most she could have shot!"
How It Happened
Claire Page led the team in the second round of play, scoring a 74 to set a new school record. Her 78 in the first round and second round score of 74 gave her a total of 152 to put her in 6th place. Page was followed by Jesse Dalton. Dalton scored a 78 on her second round after scoring an 86 in round one. Her scores totaled for 164 to put her in a tie for 18th place.
Tatiana Tait scored an 84 in the first round and 83 in the second to give her a total of 167 to put her in a tie for 28th place. Tait was followed by Emily Floyd, who sits in a tie for 37th place after both rounds of play. Floyd hit an 89 in round one and 87 in round two for a 176 total score. She was followed by Emily Anderson in 40th place. Anderson posted an 88 in the first round and 90 in the second for a 178 total.
Southern Wesleyan will continue in the NCCAA Championship on October 25 which will conclude their fall season.
