Southern Wesleyan Finishes Strong in Final Day of NCCAA National Championship

Shawnee, OK – Warriors take first in two events on final day of National Championship.  Men finish in tenth overall with 25 points, and Women take ninth with 27 points.

 
How It Happened

Men's Results

After advancing to the finals of the Men's 100 Meter Dash, junior Nick Edwards finished in third place with a time of 10.73.

In the finals of the Men's 4x100 Meter Relay, Southern Wesleyan's team of Nick Edwards, Marquise Jackson, Jannai Maxwell and Jhante McMillan took first place with a time of 41.05.  Southern Wesleyan's team of Marquise Jackson, Nick Edwards, Edward Todd and Jhante McMillan took eighth in the finals of the Men's 4x400 Meter Relay.

 

Women's Results

Skylar Julian took first in the finals of the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles.  The sophomore took first with a time of 13.928 in a close battle with Oklahoma Baptist's Leah Molter.  In the Women's 400 Meter Hurdles, senior Jenna Karel finished in fifth place with a time of 1:05.74.  Southern Wesleyan junior, Kia Tillman, took third place with a distance of 5.59m in the Women's Long Jump.
