Warriors Place High and Qualify For Finals in NCCAA

Shawnee, OK – Warriors advance to finals in several events.  Seniors Robbie Bryant and Olivia Bush finish in top five in Men's and Women's Javelin.

 
How It Happened

Men's Results

In the preliminaries of the Men's 100 Meter Dash, junior Nick Edwards finished in fifth with a time of 10.62 to qualify for the finals.  Jhante McMillan finished in ninth of the Men's 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 58.03.

Southern Wesleyan's men's 4x100 Meter Relay team of Nick Edwards, Marquise Jackson, Jannai Maxwell and Jhante McMillan finished first in the preliminaries with a time of 41.79 to qualify for the finals.  The men's 4x400 Meter Relay team of Jannai Maxwell, Edward Todd, Marquise Jackson, Jhante McMillan finished in sixth in the preliminaries to qualify for the finals with a time of 3:22.49.

In the Men's Javelin, senior Robbie Bryant took second place with a distance of 58.06m.

 

Women's Results

In the women's 100 Meter Hurdles preliminaries, sophomore Skylar Julian finished in second with a time of 14.26 to qualify for the finals.  Senior Jenna Karel finished fifth in the preliminaries of the Women's 400 Meter Hurdles to qualify for the finals with a time of 1:07.19.

Junior Kiunah Fye finished in seventh with a jump of 1.52m in the Women's High Jump.  Fye went on to finish in eighth in the Women's Triple Jump with a height of 10.93m.  In the Women's Javelin, senior Olivia Bush finished in the top five.  Bush threw a distance of 35.32m to take fifth place.

The Warriors will continue on in the finals in the NCCAA National Championship on May 13.
