Columbia, S.C. - Warriors gain first win of the season against the Benedict College Tigers on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors won two of the three sets in doubles action first. Harry Reed and Alex Ballenger won the first set by default and they were followed by Keegan Barkley and Stan Grzeslo winning a second set of doubles 8-5.
Following the doubles match, the Warriors and Tigers went to singles. The Warriors took five of the six singles match-ups of the afternoon. Harry Reed won the first match. Reed was followed by wins by Stan Grzeslo (6-0, 6-0), Camilo Sandoval (3, 4) and Daniel Boliver (6-4, 6-4).
The win for the Warriors brings their record to 1-2. The Warriors will next come home to open up their spring season against the Brevard College Tornados. They will travel to Lenoir-Rhyne and Anderson before returning home to play three straight matches.
