NCCAA Announces Men's Soccer All-Tournament and All-America teams

Greenville, SC – Southern Wesleyan has representatives named to the NCCAA All-Tournament and All-America Third teams at the conclusion of the fall campaign.  Junior Israel Evans was named to the NCCAA All-Tournament Team, and Freshman Grant Kiker was named to the NCCAA All-America Third Team.

Grant Kiker, a freshman from Charlotte, N.C., was one of the Warriors leading scorers during the 2017 campaign.  Kiker posted seven goals, two of which were game winners for the Warriors.  The Charlotte native scored a hat-trick against North Greenville on September 9 to give Southern Wesleyan a 3-1 victory over the Crusaders.  He also scored two goals in the 3-1 victory over the Chowan Hawks during Homecoming festivities on October 21. He also posted an assist in the South Regional Championship game versus the Columbia International Rams on November 17. 

Israel Evans started in 15 of the 17 games he played as a Warrior.  During his time at Southern Wesleyan, he posted one assist in the 5-1 loss to Clayton State on September 13.  Evans posted three shots in the NCCAA Championship Tournament.

Southern Wesleyan had four Warriors named as NCCAA Scholar Athletes.  The Warriors named to the list were Romanov Jean, Jacob Cashour, Zack Smith and Wade Kelley.
