Kissimmee, FL – Southern Wesleyan tied 0-0 to the Campbellsville Tigers in the first game of pool play in the NCCAA Nationals on Tuesday evening.
The Warriors posted nine shots in the tie, with three shots on goal. Grant Kiker led the team with three shots and two shots on goal. Miguel Uribe played all 120 minutes in goal and posted four saves.

How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan attacked strong to start off the first half with a shot on goal by freshman Grant Kiker, however Campbellsville's goal keeper Andreas Nota saved the ball to keep the Warriors from scoring. The Tigers pressured, but Miguel Uribe got in front of the ball to keep the game tied 0-0. At the half, despite several shots on goals, the Warriors and Tigers were tied 0-0.
Campbellsville attacked earlier on in the second half, but they were unable to get the ball around the Warrior defense to pull ahead. Southern Wesleyan's defense fought to keep Campbellsville offense down and ended the second half with the game still tied 0-0.
Southern Wesleyan's Israel Evans surged forward, taking a shot that went wide. With neither team scoring, the second overtime period began. Sergio Tapia led off the second period of overtime with a shot. However, at the end, neither team pulled out a victory.
Southern Wesleyan will next play their next round in pool play on November 28 at 3:30 p.m. against Bethel College.
