Warriors Finish in Sixth in NCCAA Championship

Palm Coast, FL – Southern Wesleyan finished in sixth place in the NCCAA Championship after the three day tournament.

"I am very pleased with how the team performed this week on an extremely challenging golf course.  With three Freshman in the starting lineup, this was a great experience for all of them.  It's always fun to coach teams that are rapidly improving and both of these teams have gotten better every week."

 

How It Happened

Zach Huebner led the team in the final round of play to give him a tie for eighth place finish.  Huebner posted scores of 74, 75 and 76 to give him a total of 225 in the tournament.  He was followed by Eric Shea.  Shea finished in a tie for 23rd after posting scores of 79, 75 and 77 to give him a 231 in the three round tournament.

Ty Campbell followed Shea, finishing in a tie for 26th place.  Campbell posted scores of 78, 82 and 72 to give him a 232 final.  He was followed by Noah Mullens and Thomas Nielsen in a tie for 36th place with 238 totals.  Mullens posted round scores of 82, 76 and 80.  Nielsen posted round scores of 79, 78 and 81. 

 

Awards:

Zach Huebner was named an NCCAA All-American at the conclusion of the tournament.
