Coach Gillespie says...

"We played much better in game two tonight, just couldn't get the bats going.  In game one we gave up 10 bases in the first five innings on walks, hit basmen and errors.  That's tough to compete with anyone, much less a solid Belmont Abbey club.  We pitched much better in the second game, but couldn't get runners on with any consistency.  I'm looking forward to seeing how we respond tomorrow in the final game of the series."

How It Happened

Game One

Belmont Abbey struck first taking a 3-0 lead after the first two innings of play.  With two out in the bottom of the second inning, Devin Patrick came up to bat.  Patrick hit a home run over the center field to put the Warriors down 3-1.  The Crusaders pushed their lead deeper to win the game 13-1.

Game Two

In game two, the Crusaders struck first in the top of the first to take a 2-0 lead.  They went on to win the game in a 3-0 final score.
