CENTRAL, S.C. - Southern Wesleyan University men's golf team member Zachary Moore has qualified to play in the USGA U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, Va. on July 15-20.
Moore qualified by shooting a 69 first round score and a 70 second round score to place second overall. He had a bogey free round in the second round.
"One of my goals every tournament is to have bogey free rounds," stated Moore. "This is a great way to build confidence by qualifying for this tournament. I am excited to get to Virginia and see how I fair on one of the biggest tournaments hosted by the USGA."

Moore will be a junior for the upcoming 2013-2014 seasons and is from Orlando, Fla.
Day 1 Results Moore shot a 71 and is currently tied for 39th. Tee time for Tuesday, July 16 is set for 1:40 p.m. Click here for Monday's scorecard.
Day 2 Results Moore fired a 73 in round two for a two day total of +4, good enough to make the cut and enter match play as one of the top 64 golfers. He will battle Cameron Peck of Olympia, Washington today at 12:20 p.m.
