Warriors Rained Out Again

The SWU baseball team, along with numerous other baseball programs in the southeast, was rained out yet again today as they were scheduled to host Montreat College.

The game, originally scheduled at Montreat, was moved to SWU earlier in the week due to the field conditions at Montreat College.  Montreat is located in Black Mountain, N.C. and has yet to play a home game due to the cold, rain and snow that has persisted all spring.  This is the 7th rainout that SWU has encountered this spring.

No make-up date has been set as of today.

The Cavs and Warriors lost a three game series back in February due to snow in Central.

SWU is scheduled to host Truett-McConnell College this weekend as the annual Warrior Baseball Weekend begins in full effect on Friday at 3:55 p.m. with Dr. Joe Brockinton throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.  The game begins at 4 p.m. with a live concert at the stadium at 7 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.  3nailz will be in concert if the weather cooperates.  Rain is in the forecast, but the festivities will be held if at all possible.
